Taxonomic notes
Dictyota ciliolata ? (see discussion in Tronholm et al. 2013). "Future research, using less conservative markers. could yet indicate that both Dictyota menstrualis and D. plectens are ...distinct lineages warranting species status but if that should prove the case, it is likely that D. ciliolata proper will have to be subdivided into a large number of other cryptic and pseudocryptic species."
