Frequently cited as "Arachnodiscus ornatus Ehrenberg"; however, according to CAS: "Although Ehrenberg 1849 does not cite Hemiptychus ornatus, it is clear, when comparing the description of H. ornatus Ehrenberg 1848, p. 7 (ref. 000960), and the almost identical description of A. ornatus in Ehrenberg 1849, that the latter is a new combination of the former." - (31 March 2016) - M.D. Guiry
