Type locality: Fremantle, Western Australia; (Womersley & Norris 1971: 5) Lectotype: TCD; 0011789 (Saunders & al. 2017: 113) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Womersley & R.Norris (1971: 5) (Silva et al., 1996).
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), sieve-like, profusely perforated, with numerous small holes (Stearn 1983).
