Type locality: México: Campeche: Bahia Tortuga, Campeche, Mexico (19°21'35"N, 90°42'35"W) ; (Núñez-Resendiz & al. 2017: 425) Holotype (tetrasporophyte): K.M. Dreckman & M.L. Núñez-Resendiz; 6 June 2015; UAMIZ; UAMIZ-1250 (Núñez-Resendiz & al. 2017: 425, fig. 3) Notes: Isotype: UAMIZ-1251 (sterile plant). Paratypes in MIZ and FCME.
