"As concerns Mediterranean records of this species, as already noted by Gòmez Garreta et al. (2001: 429, notes 24 and 25), according to Verlaque & Bernard (1998: 27) the record by Di Martino & Giaccone (1996: 34, tab. 2) (the only from the Mediterranean coast of France) is doubtful, that by Haritonidis & Tsekos (1975) (the only from Macedonia), according to Athanasiadis (1987: 78) is a misidentification and therefore by him listed among taxa excludenda from that area; finally, the record from Alexandria (Egypt) by Labib et al.
